This past Saturday night, the St Joseph's cafeteria was home to some of the smartest people we know! The annual SJPC Trivia Night was a huge success, bringing together family and friends of our students. Some of the prizes included gift cards to Cheesecake Factory and Dunkin Donuts, as well as many other fun items. The table with the most "Team Spirit" won tickets to the Harvest Supper on October 21st. Several of the more talented attendees entertained us by singing Karaoke!

Please note that we will vote to extend the deadline for SJPC Membership at our General Meeting on Wednesday, October 5th at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. 1/2 hour of Fair Share time will be awarded for members who attend the General Meeting. At 8:00 PM, we will have a presentation called "Not-so-Extreme Couponing" that will teach you how to make back your membership dues in one month using coupons! Come join us!

Hello St. Joseph School Families,

We hope you and your children are enjoying summer vacation! In between trips to the beach, pickups from camp, and trying to keep our gardens alive, the members of the 2011-2012 St. Joseph Parents Club board have been hard at work preparing for an awesome year. The Parents Club will host all of the traditional favorites you have come to love, but will also throw in some new events that you and your children won't want to miss.

Come find out what we're doing at the Coffee Hour on the first day of school! We will have SJPC membership forms available as well as sign up sheets for all of our events. Do you want to be more involved? Become a room director or volunteer to chair an event. There are so many ways to participate, and you'll also earn fair share hours. Everyone benefits when you volunteer at your child's school, and Coffee Hour is the place to start.

Mark your calendars for our first adult social event: Trivia Night, held Saturday, September 24. Connect with friends while you test your trivia knowledge! We want a sellout crowd so get your tickets at Coffee Hour, Curriculum night, or the Preschool Open House. There will be raffles, prizes, and lots of surprises so make sure to join us for the kick-off event of the year.

Do you want to help us plan? We still have events that need chairs and we're always open to new ideas. E-mail us at sjpcmedford@yahoo.com to tell us your thoughts and volunteer. The goals this year are to raise participation, have lots of fun, and continue to provide the support to our children and the school that has so distinguished us in the past. Won't you join us?

Enjoy the rest of the summer -

The 2011-2012 SJPC Board

The St. Joseph Parents' Club was renamed in 2009, formerly the St Joseph Mothers' Club which was founded in 1948.  It is a volunteer organization of parents dedicated to fundraising for Saint Joseph School and the Early Childhood Learning Center, and to providing ongoing enrichment opportunities for our students.

Over the years, our financial contributions to St. Joseph School have resulted in many tangible improvements such as a new cafeteria kitchen, all new student desks and chairs, a brand new floor, and much, much more.

Just as important as meeting our fiscal goals, however, are the intangible rewards of being part of a committed and unified group of parents dedicated to the ongoing development of the St. Joseph School community.  Many friendships and lifelong ties have begun and flourished with St. Joseph School as common ground, often for generations (several of our members are former students whose mothers were SJMC members!).  Today, the club is open to all parents, to give the club even more reach to achieve even higher goals.

We are no longer maintaining the SJPC web site and it is not functional.
