St. Joseph’s clinches #1 playoff seed

The St. Joseph School 5/6th grade boys’ basketball team finished the 2011 regular season with a perfect 14-0 record, clinching the #1 seed in the upcoming Middlesex Catholic Elementary School League playoffs. The first playoff game is scheduled for February 19th at Malden Catholic High School (the time has yet to be determined). |
Self-titled the Shamrocks, the team is anchored by veteran forwards Jack Albanese (92 points), Patrick Kelly (81 rebounds) and John Corbett (53 points) and guards Shawn Maloney (32 assists) and Jack Lonergan (31 steals). Providing much needed depth are Devin Moloney (34 points), Nicholis Jean-Jacques (49 rebounds), Andrew Murphy (18 rebounds), Evan Marks (18 points), Frankie Cervone (11 rebounds) and Michael McTague (7 points). Jeffrey Wang, Ian Henry and Brandon Melo have also made important contributions to the team.
